April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th of July. She began lessons on piano and guitar at seven years old. Her interest in songwriting was awakened. In April, when she was 12 years old She composed her debut single called Different. When she was 14 April spent a lot of her time singing and writing songs. Then she began to take trips to write with her father in NY as well as LA. April added other themes to the track "Take My Hand" for a few of her the friends she had who struggled with concerns like peer pressure problems, as well as teens who committed suicide. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing following as a lifestyle influencer and works for popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. It's true that she was born with no left hand. This creates her unique. However, this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. Lockhart's profile on Instagram doesn't conceal her handicap, but it doesn't just focus on her disability. The message? The message? We have many different aspects, that our identity and physical self aren't as they appear. Lockhart through a video message sent from her Nashville home, states I don't want that to be a part of me. I'm much more than my physical self. This doesn't have any effect on my daily life. I conduct things normally, and I've discovered my own method of adjusting the things. But, I consider it to be a vital component of my life. Lockhart is a huge source of inspiration for her female friends regarding self-acceptance. She still admits having gone through a few phases regarding her appearance, feeling uneasy in some instances to wear clothes that showed her arms. It's her choice to wear what she wants, and she happily shares pictures of her wearing these clothes. One of the keys to self-love for her is the fact that it's not a destination. It's the same for everybody regardless of the level of insecurity. It's important to have people in your life who know and appreciate the way you feel. They will be the ones to ask you: What do you worry about?
