Her birth date was the 29th of March, 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson was born to Mexican parents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. Stevenson is of Mexican origins, however she is American by nationality. From the time she was little she's always been interested in participating in sport. Gerina took up golf in her first game at the age of 15. Gerina went to Goddard High School for her higher education in high school. While in highschool, Gerina was the winner of in the New Mexico golf state tournament. The volleyball abilities of her were acknowledged at the national stage. Her first college was the University of Texas. She was the only winner of all events she took part in throughout her senior years. During her undergrad career, she won her the Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year and Female UTEP athlete of the year.
